Information We Collect
When you use my contact form or subscribe to my newsletter, I collect information such as your name and email address. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiries and provide updates you have requested. If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, I also collect usage information through PostHog: the pages you visit, your clicks and interactions, your device and browser type, and anonymous session recordings that show how people move through the site. This is tied to a random identifier, not your name, and none of it is collected until you accept.

We use the information we collect to:

Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. Your data is stored securely and we do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies & Tracking
This site keeps a small amount of information on your device. Some of it is essential, and some only runs if you allow it. Essential (always on): a cookie that remembers your light or dark theme, and a record of your cookie choice so the banner does not keep asking. These do not track you and cannot be turned off, because the site needs them to work. Analytics and session replay (only with your consent): if you accept analytics in the cookie banner, I use PostHog to understand how the site is used and to record anonymous sessions so I can improve it. This sets a first-party cookie and can record what is shown on screen, including text you type into forms, so please avoid entering anything sensitive while analytics is enabled. Nothing here runs until you accept, and choosing Essential only keeps everything anonymous and cookie-free. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Manage cookies link in the footer. The legal basis for analytics is your consent; the legal basis for the essential items is that they are necessary to provide the site.
Third-Party Services
I use a small set of named third-party services to operate this site. Each has its own privacy policy: Resend (email): handles transactional and newsletter email delivery. https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy Vercel (hosting and media): hosts the site and stores uploaded media via Vercel Blob. https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy PostHog (analytics and session replay, EU region): measures how the site is used and records anonymous session replays, only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner. Your data is processed on PostHog's EU infrastructure. https://posthog.com/privacy Pagefind (search): runs entirely client-side in your browser; nothing is sent to a server. I do not share your information with third parties for advertising or marketing.
Data Retention
Contact form submissions are kept indefinitely so I have a complete record of who has reached out. You can request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below). Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. After unsubscription your email is removed from active sends but the unsubscription record itself is retained for compliance. Analytics and session replays collected through PostHog are tied to a random identifier rather than your name, and are retained according to PostHog's data-retention settings. You can ask me to delete them at any time.
