About
Hi, I am Mobeen Abdullah. I am a developer turned founder who builds SaaS and AI based products for the web.
I started my journey with WordPress, Shopify and MERN. Over the years I moved more into Next.js, TypeScript and product building, and now I spend most of my time creating tools, systems and workflows under my company Revnix.
What I do now
These days I focus on:
- Building SaaS products and AI based tools for developers, agencies and content creators
- Creating internal tools for HR, sales and operations for my own team
- Training fresh graduates and juniors so they can work on real world projects
- Turning ideas into small experiments and then into serious products if they work
Some of the things I have worked on include:
- Ficonz - an icon system and tools for modern web projects
- Nextly - a Next.js based admin and content system that feels like a part of your app
- JSON to TOON - a small tool that converts JSON to TOON and TOON back to JSON
- Alera - a free WordPress theme
- Oh My Bar - a simple progress bar plugin for WordPress
- WPGrit - a platform for WordPress development services
- WPAegis - a WordPress care and maintenance service
- Site Mode - a WordPress plugin for coming soon and maintenance pages
I have worked with clients all over the world, including through premium networks like Toptal and Codeable, but my main goal now is to build and grow my own products and teams.
What this blog is about
This blog is my place to:
- Write about building SaaS and AI based products
- Share what works and what fails in real projects
- Document how I am moving from solo developer to founder with a team
- Talk about systems, processes and tools that help me ship faster
I like simple, honest writing. I prefer to share real stories, small wins, mistakes and the thinking behind my decisions.
If you are a developer, indie maker or early stage founder, my hope is that my notes can:
- Save you some time
- Give you ideas
- Make you feel less alone in the journey
How I think about work
A few things that matter to me:
- Shipping over perfection
- Long term thinking instead of quick hacks
- Building tools that are actually used by real people
- Keeping things as simple as possible in code and in business
- Sharing and teaching others as I learn
I like building repeatable systems so that work does not depend on only one person all the time. This is true for code, sales, hiring and internal processes.
Life outside the screen
I live in Pakistan and I am a father of three wonderful daughters.
Most of my time outside work is spent with my family and managing a simple daily routine. I do not travel much. I am more interested in building a stable life, a strong team and useful products than in chasing a fancy lifestyle.
If you want to follow along, you can treat this site as a long running build in public log of my journey as a developer turned founder who is trying to grow real products and a real company from a small place in Pakistan.
